May Monthly Meet

6:00pm until 10:00pm

Sam and Louie’s New York Pizza in Urbandale

Start gathering at 6, food will be at 7!

This will be buffet style with salad and bread for $7-8 per person plus tax. The also have several beers on tap to purchase as well. (not included)

The Strip Mall this is in has tons of parking, so please park out far so we can all be together.

Also, please respond accordingly to this invite… I always look “who is coming” and call the restaurant day of to give them an idea of how many people to expect, so please respond and also indicate if you are bringing a guest!

Ames Crew will meet at the church parking lot across from the Legends Tower at 5:15 and depart at 5:30.

April Monthly Meet

Our next monthly meet will be held at Smokey D’s BBQ in Des Moines. The restaurant is located near the Big Harley Barn off second avenue. We will park and gather in the large parking lot south of the building.

Start gathering around 6 P.M.
We will go inside to eat around 7.

We have reservations for their banquet room, but we will still order at the counter and bar.

December Monthly Meet

This Month we will be meeting at El Azteca Mexican Restaurant in Ankeny. Start gathering in the parking lot at 6 or so, with a reserved eat time at 7.

Ames crew will meet at the church parking lot East of Legends tower in campustown, with a departure time of 5:45.

Upcoming Events in April/Early May

Fast Five Premiere
When: April 29th
Where: TBD
Why: Because, regardless of the crappy acting and lame plots, we still love these movies for some reason.

May Monthly Meet:
When: May 4th, Start pulling in around 6pm, Eat around 6:45/7:00, Leave as necessary
Where: Hickory Park, Ames, IA
What: Normal monthly meet. Great people, great cars, great eats!

Meet with Nebraska Subaru Club
When: May 8th, June 5th or June 19th – TBD
Where: Lake Anita State Park, Anita, Iowa
What: Fun Sunday meet with a couple hour cruise to meet up with the Nebraska Subaru Club. We’re still working out the rest of the details for this one. Stay tuned for more information!

April Spools Day Meet

April Spools Day meet is being put on by the Iowa Subaru Club in conjunction with some local DSM folks.  It is an all makes meet open to anyone with any type of fehicle. 

After hanging out at Bennegain’s restaurant, there will be a checkpoint cruise for anyone who would like to join.  After the cruise, there will be a smaller group going to Iowa City for another meet being put on by the Iowa City Car Club.

Please feel free to invite friends, but we are only looking to have responsible drivers join us.  We don’t want to have to deal with police because of a few idiots.

  • When: Saturday, April 2nd from 1-4PM
  • Where: Bennigan’s Grill & Tavern, 4800 Merle Hay Road, Urbandale, IA
  • Who: Any local responsible car enthusiasts

ISC Forums Now Live

It was suggested in the last NASIOC thread that our new meet thread on NASIOC be kept more business and less banter.  Because of that, I added a forum this site where members can keep up with the friendly banter that we are accustomed to while keeping the NASIOC thread neat and tidy.  The boards still have some work to do, but feel free to check them out, register, and make some new posts.
